school life

This is a post which would serve as a memoirs of my school life.

Standard LKG:
Refrigerators are a rarity those days and the most sought after thing is a piece of ice cube. I studied in a government school where the medium of instruction is Tamil. There was an ice company situated within the vicinity of the school and during evening they used to dump baggy ice cubes. In spite of fierce rivalry, We always collected a considerable quantity of ice (team work).

Standard UKG:
My family shifted to tirunelveli so I was admitted in Rosemary matric school. I learned all the alphabets of English only in UKG and became a laughing stock for frequently calling the tutor as "Teacher"( instead of miss or madam).

Standard I:
Received a 50 paise caramilk as a token of appreciation for scoring first rank in half yearly ( this was also the last first rank in my academic career).

Standard II:
Thrashed by the class teacher for quarrelling with a girl (Actually she provoked and had a upper hand however she cried).

Standard III:
Scored 30 out of 100 in mathematics. This was the first failure in my scholastic vocation, resulted in the beginning of an era which exists till now.

Standard IV:
Cartoon Network entered my life and I became a die hard fan of Hanna Barbera animations (William Hanna and Joseph Barbera). I also daydreamed of being the sixth member of the Mystery Machine (Scooby Doo's wagon).

Standard V:
feeling shy to reveal the happenings of fifth standard.

Standard VI:
My mom received a feedback from the staff describing me as mischievous and naughty guy.( i dunno why, they could have a presumed so ,thanks to my face cut) Nevertheless full credit goes to my dad who made this incident memorable by showering praise(?!!!!!) upon me.

Standard VII:
Secured a win for first time in a general quiz competition.

Standard VIII:
Caught red handed for attempting to copy from the neighbour during midterm test and was lucky enough to escape punishment.(Unfortunately the friend who helped me failed ). Later the staff advised me to get rid of this habit.(He also said "It requires talent and technique to indulge in such kind of activities which I feel you didn't possess").

Standard IX & X:
Nothing exceptional however frequently irritated for maintaining a low academic profile.

Standard XI:
Fractured the left arm while playing football. ( A dark day in the football history of India). I did not attend the classes for a period of two weeks, so the occurrence was a "Blessing in Disguise".

Standard XII:
Suspended for a period of half day for not meeting the deadline of record work.

There are many more incidents of mighty deeds but I felt that it is enough to mention few of them.
I believe that my next post will be some stuff related to "Cattle Rearing".
