Warren Buffet

Recently i came across a power point presentation about Warren Buffet( the second richest person in the world according to Forbes list of billionaires). It was really impressive, so i decided to write it down in the blog.

A succinct intro of Warren Buffet(Source-Wikipedia):

Warren Edward Buffet(born August 30,1930 in Omaha,Nebraska,U.S) is an American investor, businessman and philanthropist. He is one of the world's most successful investors and the largest shareholder and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He is often called the "Sage of Omaha" or "Oracle of Omaha". In 2007, he was listed among TIME's 100 Most Influential persons in the world.

Some of the appealing aspects of his life are
*) He donated $31 billion to charity( 1,51,000 crore rupees or Rs1,50,00,00,00,000).

*) He procured the first share of his life at the age of 11 and he now regrets that he has started too late.

*) He bought a small farm at the age of 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.

*) He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in midtown Omaha, that he bought after he married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house doesn't has a wall or fence.

*) He drives his car and doesn't have a security people around him.

*) His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to CEO's of these companies delivering the goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis.

*) He has given his CEO's only two rules
Rule No:1
Do not lose any of Ur share holders' money.
Rule No:2
Do not forget rule no 1.

*) He avoids socializing with high society crowd. His pastime after he gets home is to make himself some popcorn and watch television.

*) Warren Buffet does not carry a mobile, nor has a computer on his desk.

*) He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.

*) Bill Gates, World's richest man met him for the first time only five years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything common with Warren Buffet, So he scheduled his meeting only for 30 minutes. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.

His advice to young people:
*) Stay away from Credit cards and Bank loans.

*) Live life as simple as you are.

*) Don't do what others say, just listen them, but do what you feel good.

*) Don't go on brand name, prefer things which makes you feel comfortable.

*) Don't waste Ur money on unnecessary stuffs. Just spend on them if it is indispensable.

*) After all its Ur life then why give chance to others to rule ur life.

"The Happiest people do not necessarily have the BEST of all. They simply appreciate what they find on their way".

Friendship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the past few months i had been considering the option of starting a blog, but more often reminded of the fact that it is still a long way(experience & language) before i could really propel it.But i yielded to temptation that is why i am here. Then I was really in confusion regarding how to begin with and finally decided to give a brief note about the so called friendship.

I did my schooling in tirunelveli.(first in Rosemary matric school till standard V and the latter part in Jayendra Swamigal School) . I am on the verge of finishing my college life at MSEC.

Those unforgettable and glorious days with not even a trace of sorrow, worry, anger, hate, greed and jealousy but filled with childish enthusiasm.Life was nothing but a dream. The rationale was that friends in school life came without any expectations and they didn't explore the benefits which would arise if they joined hands with us.

But in college life the meaning of friendship is entirely different. These are the qualifications required to form a gang of friends.

1)blindly support Ur friend even if he is leading to the path of destruction.

2)must be generous in flattery and conservative in criticism(even if it is inevitable).

3) must not only study well but should be well versed in arguments.

4)must be strong in peter(English) and also have as many friends in the opposite side as many people may come to sign a barter(friendship) with a confidence that u will introduce them.

5)Should not take things in emotional point of view( need not go for a management course bcoz in the course of time u would acquire the qualities of a shrewd business man).

6)Always have a self centric approach.Don't be innocent as people may give lime water to drink in the guise of milk and never worry about the feelings of others with a implication that u
have to shed Ur feelings first.

if u don't have at least few of these traits u are likely to be isolated or neglected. You would be termed either as a person of 1980s or a cynic.

This is my conviction after closely watching many people throughout this college life. The main motive which made me to make this harsh statement is the traumatic events which had happened during past few days.My observation may be quite wrong but i would like to take an excuse under the label "Freedom Of Speech" and I emphasize that no one is there to be blamed as only a person's attitude makes him to feel happy or sorrow throughout his life.If some one believes that my statement is correct at least from now onwards try to be faithful to relationships. Please spend more time with family members as they are our everlasting well wishers and put efforts to make them feel happy.Teamwork is important but only individuals have stood in history.

I am sure that my next post will not disseminate bitter feelings.thanks for Ur patience.
goodbye.
